Product Description

Anybody wanting a shot of super green goodness packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and natural healthy plant pigments can enjoy the benefits of Lifestream Wheat Grass.

What is Lifestream Wheat Grass

Lifestream Wheat Grass is a 100% pure, New Zealand grown, certified organic wholesome green food made from the fresh leaves of young Wheat Grass plants. It contains vast amounts of naturally occurring minerals, enzymes, B vitamins, antioxidants and chlorophyll in a perfect ‘nature-made’ blend. It is suitable for adults, children and pregnant women.

Is Lifestream Wheat Grass The Same As The Tray-Grown Wheatgrass

No. The growing cycle of Lifestream Wheat Grass produces a much higher quality and nutritionally concentrated wheat grass plant than the tray-grown process can produce. The differences in nutritional content were so remarkable, depending on the time of harvest. Essentially it is this: the plant undergoes rapid growth with increasing nutritional manifestation until maturity when it switches gears from vegetative growth to reproductive growth i.e. growing the wheat grain. Just prior to this change over, known as jointing stage, the plant (leaves) is at its nutritional peak.

Tray-grown wheatgrass never achieves the jointing stage. Because it grows so quickly under the warm condition, the plant has a relatively high level of simple sugars, giving the sweetness taste. The accelerated growth causes the tray-grown plant to put most of its energy into growing the leaves rather than the root. Thus, very few minerals can be absorbed from the roots and utilized to produce more complex nutrients. Moreover, the soil in trays is only 1 – 2 inches deep and the roots are barely mature enough to assimilate nutrients no matter how good is the soil. Tray grown wheatgrass is harvest between 8 to 14 days.

In contrast, outdoor grown wheat grass develops deep roots, pulling up minerals and manufacturing vitamins over 90 days of slow growth. Under the natural sunshine and slow growth in the cool fall or spring turns the grass into a solar collector, storing high level of chlorophyll, trace minerals and micro-nutrients. These leaves of grass reach their nutritional peak just prior to jointing period. Lifestream Wheat Grass is harvest just prior to the actual jointing, at the plant’s nutritional zenith.

Nevertheless, both tray-grown and outdoor grown grasses grow to approximately 7 – 10 inches tall. The extra days of growth outdoors are spent building roots and forming additional nutrients.

Lifestream Wheat Grass is independently certified organic, grown outside in the natural sunshine for over 90 days, nutritionally richer and is guaranteed premium, potent and free from any additives, preservatives, dairy products and gluten.

Lifestream Wheat Grass is Gluten Free
